Naturally.....

....we get loud neighbours! We are simply cursed when it comes to neighbours. In our first apartment in down town Reykjavík 2003 we had lesbien drug addicts living above us who held parties 24/7...in Denmark it was the weird lady above us in Amager who went missing (never to be found again) and in Plantevej it was the loud-loud-LOUD lady downstairs who did not "talk" on the phone - she shouted...very annoying.

In Koi Tropika Malaysia we had the smelly hindu guy with the constant bells (praying thing but very loud) opposite and then the crowded apartment below where the guy just could not decide which musical genre to follow! Now here in Reykjavík we just have wonderful people living in our building (we're on the topmost floor - 4th floor) but the people below us play extreeeeemely loud music. It's fine sometimes...but annoying every single day, especially if you want to play your own cozy music (kind of blends in).

But we're loving our apartment and neighbourhood. The weather here is beautiful today + 2°C, clear blue sky and sun...we would be skiing as we speak but guess we have to spend this nice sunday reading some books...

Many friends have left Iceland in january for school or work somewhere else - but we're still happy not to have a plain ticket (for the first time in years!). Otherwise - same old...school-work-family-friends-busy.
